Museum of Sacred Art
The history of Arouca cannot be separated from the history of the Monastery. In the Museum of Sacred Art we can find testimonies of that history through painting, sculpture, jewelery, furniture and other different religious objects. Since 1993, the inhabitants of Arouca, giving life to the Royal Brotherhood of Santa Mafalda Queen, have been able to preserve the valuable collection that we can appreciate today, as well as the magnificence of the building itself and its rich interior decoration.
