Description: Resident Raptor. The plumage of the dorsum is usually brown, while the breast presents a lighter color, being evident in the superior part of this a white band, in the form of half-moon. The head has a rounded appearance, the wings are broad and the tail is short.


Habitat: Forests, woods and near fields of cultivation.


Where to find in Arouca Geopark: Freita Mountain ; Regoufe.
