Caima River

In the Freita Mountain plateau, the waters from the streams cut the landscape until they converge in one. The Caima River. Passing through granitic soils, the Caima «explodes» in the Frecha da Mizarela, as it approaches the schists that start appearing. First, it makes the waters run in soils with higher altitudes. Then, it lies in flatter soils, as it is arriving the neighboring municipalities of Vale de Cambra and Oliveira de Azeméis, until it flows into the Vouga River.
