Montemuro Mountain

«The most unknown of the mountains», some people say. One of the highest mountains in the country, others will say. «Home» of the Iberian wolf, the otter, the gold-striped salamander and other species that make us curious, they'll say. This is the highest point of the Arouca Geopark (1222 meters), in the Pedra Posta (parish of Alvarenga). Area of biodiversity par excellence. Safe place of practices, customs and timeless traditions. This is the Montemuro Mountain.
