The Harvest Fair appeared in 1944 during World War II, and it aimed to enhance agriculture which had heavily decayed during the war. It is considered the largest local festival, and continues to keep the rural roots alive. It offers a varied program of exhibitions, music / concerts, taverns, craft, frippery, sale of farm products, biweekly fair, traditional maize husking, hamper cortege, cattle contest and exhibition, among other activities.
