Mountain biking / Geobike
The Arouca Geopark has some of the most beautiful and challenging mountain bike trails. Winding through the mountains, across hills and valleys, crossing traditional villages and following rivers and streams, the skills and endurance of the riders are put to the test. You can ride along the paths of the Arouca Geopark on a Geobike. There are 15 bikes (11 for adults and 4 for children aged between 6 and 11) available for hire. You can rent your Geobike all year round at the Arouca Interactive Tourism Shop and at the Casa das Pedras Parideiras – Interpretation Center, during public opening hours. You can also ask the Arouca Geopark Association for an interpreter-guide to accompany you on this cycling adventure in two areas of the territory: the Historic Center and the Serra da Freita Plateau.
