Touring the Urtigosa Valley means getting to know some of the most beautiful corners of the parishes of Rossas and Urrô. The River Urtigosa and its tributary, the Ribeira da Escaiba, run close to several curious villages, such as Provisende, Lourosa de Matos and Souto Redondo, where the very typical chapels take on a special grace. Along this stream, you’ll also find some working mills and, at the beginning and end of the route, you can find out a little more about the Order of Malta, of which Rossas is a trustee.
Other points of interest: Rossas Mother Church; Urtigosa River and Escaiba Stream Valleys; Mill Nucleus.
