31 – Black Gold Route with Why Not On Nature
#preescolar, #primeirociclo, #segundociclo
We’ll learn more about the mining operations in Arouca over the last century, which helped make Portugal the world’s sixth largest producer of tungsten during the Second World War. We will visit Rio de Frades so that we can understand what German mining was all about. In Rio de Frades we’ll walk through a main gallery to understand the working conditions of these men and women who made history and wealth. We’ll also go to Regoufe to visit the mining complex where we’ll learn more about the harsh reality of mining, this time from the British in the service of the Allies.
