Button fernWoodwardia radicans

Perennial herbaceous plant with a short, thick, ascending rhizome. The fronds are arched, producing new buds at the top of the rachis which, when in contact with the soil, give rise to new plants. The petiole is glabrous, yellow in color and the base is blackish. The limb is triangular to ovate-lanceolate, with pinnules that can reach 30 cm. The pinnules are slightly curved and serrated. The sori are oblong with a convex, leathery indusium.
