Hepatic veil-bifurcation Metzgeria furcata

It has very thin, translucent stems and can be distinguished from other similar genera by the presence of a central vein on the light green stem. This stem divides successively and dichotomously and the branches are attached to the trunk by delicate transparent rhizoids that grow on the ventral side of the stems.
