MyrtleMyrtus communis

A branchy, densely leafy shrub. The leathery leaves are small, shiny, opposite, glabrous and have a sweet, resinous aroma when crushed. The solitary, axillary flowers are made up of five white petals. The fruit is a fleshy, more or less globular berry, bluish-black in color when ripe.
