Pinheiro SilvestrePinus sylvestris

A monoecious tree with a straight, cylindrical trunk. The rhytidome is fissured into longitudinal, irregular, reddish-brown or grayish-brown plates at the base of the trunk. At the top, the plates are thin and light red to orange in color. The bluish-green or grayish leaves are found in pairs. The pine cone, solitary or in groups of 2-3, has a short peduncle and is usually ovoid-conical and gray or matte brown in color.
