GenetaGenetta genetta

The head is elongated, with large, rounded ears. On the back, the grayish or yellowish-brown coat alternates with dark spots, which sometimes seem to merge into longitudinal lines. The thick, long, bushy tail has dark rings alternating with lighter ones. The paws are short and have five toes and semi-retractable claws.

Dimension Length (head-body): 46-52 cm

Habitat Woodlands with watercourses and areas with plenty of shrubby vegetation, avoiding wandering in the open. They prefer oak forests, holm oak groves, cork oaks and olive groves. They are arboreal.
