Introduction

AGA – Associação Geoparque Arouca’s privacy policy clarifies what personal data we collect from you and for what purposes, as well as the principles that guide the use of this data and the rights of data subjects. AGA’s actions are governed by values of rigor, transparency, professionalism, institutional cooperation and social justice.

Scope

This policy applies to all users and guarantees the privacy and security of the data provided for the various services offered. Only the data necessary to provide the service is requested and collected in accordance with the explicit indications in the user’s options.

Who is responsible for processing your data?

We would like to inform you that AGA, as the managing body of Arouca Geopark, is responsible for processing the data files owned by AGA. The Data Protection Officer can be contacted by email geral@aroucageopark.pt or by registered letter, with acknowledgement of receipt, to Rua Alfredo Vaz Pinto – apartado 20, 4540-118 Arouca. This Privacy Policy applies to all the facilities/spaces managed by AGA, namely the Association’s headquarters, the Casa das Pedras Parideiras – Interpretation Center, the panoramic floor of the Arouca Weather Radar, the Arouca Interactive Tourism Shop and the Arouca Agrícola – Local Market.

  • Arouca Geopark Newsletter
    You can sign up for the Arouca Geopark newsletter using the form on the website www.aroucageopark.pt. This includes the following personal details: email, first name and surname.
  • Participation in Various Activities
    Participation in the various activities that AGA organizes can be done by filling in the forms available for this purpose, which include the following personal data: email, cell phone, name, surname, date of birth, address, town, gender, tax identification number. You can also sign up for activities by email or telephone, in which case your personal details are: first name, surname, email, cell phone.
  • Arouca Geopark pre-booking center
    The pre-booking center on the website www.aroucageopark.pt allows you to pre-book educational programs, interpreted visits, accommodation and catering units, which requires the following personal data: name, surname, address, telephone, fax, tax identification number and email.
  • Arouca Geopark online store
    The Arouca Geopark online store, available at loja.aroucageopark.pt, allows the purchase of editions and merchandising and requires the following personal data: name, surname, email address and tax identification number.
  • Social Media
    Through its social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram), AGA offers personalized and comprehensive support and the possibility of keeping in touch. These services collect personal data, for example via your profile or via so-called social plug-ins, which are implemented on third-party websites. If you send a request to AGA via one of these social networks, it will be forwarded to the responsible department. The data will be used exclusively to respond to your request and will not be passed on to third parties. In order to contact us via these social networks, you must register with these services.
  • For what purpose do we process your personal data?
    We process your data for the following purposes, with established retention periods and limitations on the provision of services, as described below:
    • Arouca Geopark Newsletter so that we can inform you about the activities organized in the Arouca Geopark territory (our own or by third parties).
    • Pre-booking center to take advantage of educational programs, interpreted visits and accommodation or restaurants.
    • Filling in online and printed forms to take part in the various activities organized by Arouca Geopark.

Failure to accept any of the above implies that you will not be able to find out about the activities organized in the Arouca Geopark.
AGA never transfers your data to third parties.
