Orange peel fungusAleuria aurantia

Shape: cup with a tendency to open up as it grows. It is bright orange to red in color and may discolor in older specimens. The outside of the cup is paler and covered in a thin, short, white veil. In young specimens, the margin is involute, becoming flatter and more lobed with age.

Spores: 13-15 X 7.5-9 µm without ornamentation

Taste: sweet
