AlderAlnus lusitanica
A deciduous, monoecious tree with moderate growth. The rhytidome is fissured into square or oblong, gray or brown plates. The leaves are broad or slightly orbicular and have long yellowish hairs in the axils of the veins on the lower page. The male flowers are arranged in pendulous clusters (amentilhos) of purple color and in groups of 2-3, while the female flowers are grouped in inflorescences.
