Hare's foot mushroom Coprinopsis lagopus

Hat: initially it is completely covered by a white or grayish veil. As it grows, it becomes striped, gray to brownish gray. Blades: ascending and free, initially white and then black. Stalk: often very fragile, white and scaly and finally smooth.

Flesh: whitish

Spores: 10-14 x 6-8 µm, elliptical to ovoid with a clear germination pore. Cystidia present on the edge and face of the blades, utriform, filamentous veil, with thin-walled hyphae.

Taste: mild

Odour: faint
