Pampas grassCortaderia selloana

A rhizomatous perennial herb with a large rosette of basilar leaves. Each plant has several stems, at the top of which are large, showy panicles (commonly known as plumes), where the small flowers are found. The leaves are grayish or bluish-green, linear with serrated, sharp edges.
