Autumn saffronCrocus serotinus

Bulbous plant. It has several long, thin green leaves and small bluish-lilac flower stalks. The flowers usually appear before the leaves, either singly or in small clusters of 2 to 3 flowers per bulb. In contrast to the color of the tepals, in the center of the flower there are 3 long yellow stamens and a stipe intensely colored yellow or orange.
