HorsetailEquisetum arvense
Perennial herbaceous plant. It has a blackish-brown, elongated rhizome and articulated aerial stems. The stems are dimorphic: the sterile ones are branched (verticillate branching), green, striated and with green sheaths; the fertile stems are simple, pale brown and appear before the sterile stems, drying out after the spores have dispersed.
