A perennial, bulbous and glabrous plant. The stem and leaves are bluish-green or grayish, and the leaves are alternate and lanceolate. The flowers are solitary, recognizable by the checkered, purple-brown campanula with a yellowish-green stripe inside. The seeds are contained in a capsule.
