HollyIlex aquifolium

A dioecious species. The trunk is smooth and greenish, becoming grayish and rough as it ages. The leaves are persistent, dark green and shiny, very rigid and, on the branches of young plants, with wavy, spiny margins. The flowers are small, white or slightly pink. The fruit is red, smooth and toxic, especially to humans.
