Water lizardLacerta schereiberi

A species with marked sexual dimorphism. The male differs from the female in terms of body proportion, coloration and dorsal pattern. Despite being more robust, the males are smaller and display intense blue tones on their throats during the breeding season. Their backs are greenish to yellowish with black spots, while the females have large dark spots on a greenish or brownish background.
