Louisiana red crawfish

Its color can vary from dark red to brown. It has two long main antennae. The claws have numerous spiny, irregular structures, with a typical spur at the joint. The cephalothorax has a granular texture.

Habitat It prefers lotic environments with little current, although it can be found in practically all aquatic ecosystems with muddy and clayey substrates.
