Old man's snitch Lycoperdon perlatum

Shape: white with fine conical spines with a round base, very flexible and surrounded by small granular warts, leaving small round scars. The center has a small nipple which quickly turns brown and is perforated at maturity.

Stalk: 0.3-3 cm.

Flesh: white, then yellowish-brown, with a sterile base corresponding to the stalk which becomes ochraceous; no diaphragm.

Spores: 3.5-4.5 μm, more or less globular, clearly warty.

Taste: sweet

Odour: faint
