Rat snakeMalpolon monspessulanus

It has a relatively narrow, pointed head with prominent supraocular scales. The eyes are large and the area between the eye and the nasal orifice is usually depressed. The dorsal coloration varies greatly, from olive green to brown or greyish, and usually has a very dark spot on the anterior third of the body. The ventral region is yellowish, often with black spots.
