Eared owlOtus scops

It has slightly uniform plumage, varying in shades of gray-brown and small tufts on its head that resemble “ears”. If you look closely, you can make out a more complex pattern, with black stripes and spots, whitish dots and rufous spots. It has a pale gray-brown facial disk and yellow eyes. Its beak is gray and its claws are gray-brown, with darker edges.

Dimension Length: 20 cm

Habitat Low-density woods, groves, orchards, open oak groves and montados and riparian forests.
