Dwarf batPipistrellus pipistrellus

It has a brownish color and triangular ears. The dorsal side of the body is a darker brown and the belly is a pale yellowish brown. The dwarf bat is very similar to other bats in the Pipistrellusgenus . However, it is distinguished by several characteristics. One of these is the dentition, specifically the appearance of the tips of the 3 incisors (the first upper incisor is strong and has two cusps, the second upper incisor has a shorter cusp).

Dimension Length: 3.5-4.5 cm

Habitat During the summer they occupy all kinds of cracks in buildings, especially in cladding slabs or under roof tiles. They can also shelter in bridges, mines, caves, cracks and occasionally under the bark of trees. During hibernation they occupy caves, mines and buildings.
