Red squirrelSciurus vulgaris

It has a long, voluminous tail, a slender body and a short muzzle. The coat color is usually reddish brown or dark brown, but can vary greatly. The chest is white. During the winter it has tufts of hair on its ears and its coat is darker and denser.

Dimension Length (head-body): 20 - 25 cm

Habitat It prefers forests, occupying mainly coniferous and mixed woodlands. It can also be seen in gardens and urban parks.
