Marbled newtTriturus marmoratus

It has a depressed, rounded head, prominent eyes and granular skin. The parotid glands are evident. The body is round or slightly flattened and the tail is quite flat laterally. The limbs are well developed, with four elongated toes on the forelegs and five on the hind legs. The back is greenish with dark spots of varying size and distribution and the belly is light.

Habitat Very diverse aquatic environments, usually with still water or little flow (ponds, tanks, dams, etc.).
