Literally enter the “land within” and get to know the underworld left behind by our recent ancestors, when they explored for tungsten (aka wolfram), tin and even gold. In the first case, a metal widely used in weapons, especially during the Second World War. Get to know how it was exploited, its applications, but also the socio-economic aspects and the influence these concessions had on the region’s development. Take the opportunity to get to know the Paiva Valley better on our Jeep Tour to the explorations.

- Specific subjects/courses covered by the activity: Environmental Studies, Geography and Geology; Tourism/Vocational Courses in Tourism and/or Tourist Animation and University Courses in Biology and Geology, Environment, Tourism and Leisure.
- In accordance with our booking policy, activities can be canceled, free of charge, up to 72 hours before they are due to take place; cancellation the day before means a 50% loss of value and cancellation on the same day means a 100% loss of value. Exceptions are made for cancellations due to extreme weather conditions or other environmental factors that could jeopardize the safety of the activity.
