Synopsis: The Arda Ecovia is an ecological route located next to the River Arda, which aims to promote sustainability and the preservation of the environment. Based on these values, along this route, students can enjoy different landscapes, appreciating and looking at in a different way a path that may even be the usual way to get to school. The Ecovia do Arda also offers the opportunity to get to know countless species of local biodiversity, as well as promoting environmental awareness and the importance of nature conservation. It’s an ideal destination for awakening attention to the details that nature provides every day and which easily go unnoticed.

  • Specific subjects/courses covered by the activity: Environmental Studies
  • Walking route of around 6 km perfectly suited to this age group
  • In the event of adverse weather conditions, the visit will take place at the municipal museum;
  • 25% charge in the event of cancellation by the school;
  • Includes:
    • Why Not On Nature guide throughout the interpreted visit (1 guide per maximum of 20 students);
    • compulsory personal accident insurance;
    • compulsory civil liability insurance
    • entrance to the Arouca Municipal Museum
  • Excludes
    • visit to the municipal museum except in adverse weather conditions;
    • transportation to and from the points of departure and arrival. If necessary, we can also arrange transportation on request
