In fact, this was the route taken daily by the letter carrier to deliver letters to the villages of Rio de Frades, Cabreiros and Tebilhão, at the height of tungsten mining, during the Second World War. As well as a route of rare beauty, with a very particular biodiversity along the way, it is possible to understand how men and women worked in tungsten mining by visiting one of the galleries, the Vale da Cerdeira gallery. Always against the backdrop of this beautiful nature, you can catch a glimpse of the beautiful waterfalls of Rio de Frades and the constant sound of the water in the streams that lulls you into a rhythm as you climb.

Notes
- Minimum of 8 students and maximum of 80 students;
- Specific subjects/courses in which the activity takes place: biology, geology, nature tourism, tourism routes and itineraries, organizational behaviour, professional tourism course, senior tourism technician,
- Walking route of around 8km, paying special attention to the uphill gradient of around 800m;
- Special attention to the access route to Rio de Frades, which must be done in a minibus with up to 27 seats;
- In the event of adverse weather conditions, rescheduling of the interpreted visit to a new date favorable to both parties;
- 25% charge in the event of cancellation by the school;
- Includes:
- Why Not On Nature guide throughout the interpreted visit (1 guide per maximum of 20 students);
- compulsory personal accident insurance;
- compulsory civil liability insurance
- Excludes:
- transportation to and from the points of departure and arrival. If necessary, the company can arrange transportation on request.
