Serra da Freita has a remarkable geodiversity, with unique geological formations and landscapes. Some of the geological features shape the territory, such as the Frecha da Mizarela or the Pedras Boroas. These geological formations in the Serra da Freita are of great scientific interest, such as the Castanheira Fold Field, as well as the Pedras Parideiras phenomenon. They represent millions of years of geological history and highlight the natural processes that have shaped the region over time. In addition, these unique geological features contribute to the scenic beauty and uniqueness of the Serra da Freita.

- Minimum of 8 students and maximum of 80 students;
- Specific subjects/courses in which the activity takes place: biology, geology, nature tourism, tourism routes and itineraries, organizational behaviour, professional tourism course, senior tourism technician;
- Pedestrian route of around 8 km, access to geosites adds another 3 km, for a total of 11 km;
- Visiting route: Detrelo da Malhada (bus) / Frecha da Mizarela / Contacto Litológico (bus). Walking route: São Pedro Velho / Pedras Boroas / Ponte Celta / Portela da Anta / Monte Calvo / Filão de quartzo de Cabaços / Castanheira / Casa das Pedras Parideiras / Campo de dobras (bus).
