As you walk along the route that takes you to the 516 Arouca – Suspension Bridge, you can appreciate the granite morphology, where two geosites of the UNESCO World Geopark Arouca stand out: the Paiva Gorge (G36) and the Aguieiras Waterfall (G35). The geology and geomorphology of the Paiva valley provide excellent conditions for practicing different sports such as rafting, canoeing or canyoning, or, for spectators, walking along the Paiva Walkways. Be amazed by the imposing engineering of the 516 Arouca and discover the various native species that inhabit this area classified by the Natura 2000 Network. You can visit this infrastructure on your own, by booking in advance, or as part of an Arouca Geopark Educational Program Field Trip, including other emblematic points of this territory in your program.
