Conheça Cando

Although many Aroucans don’t know it, Aldeia do Cando is known for its louse houses, perhaps the oldest known in Arouca. On the left bank of the Ribeiro do Vidoeiro, small terraces appear as the view goes up, where fields and houses are arranged according to the taste of time. Many believe that treasures from the time of the Moors are kept here, in a true “schist village” that the locals have jealously maintained.
