The Merujal Biodiversity Station (EBIO) is located in the heart of the Serra da Freita and consists of nine information panels on the existing biological wealth. Starting next to the Merujal Camping Park, the EBIO crosses various types of terrestrial habitats (pine forests, scrubland and oak woodlands) and freshwater habitats (streams and peat bogs), ending near the Frecha da Mizarela geosite.

In these habitats, get involved in recording the various endemic, rare or common species of fauna (such as Rana iberica, Calopteryx virgo and Podarcis hispanica), flora (such as Crocus carpetanus, Narcissus bulbocodium and Gentiana pneumonanthe) and fungi (such as Lobaria pulmonaria, Lobaria amplissima and Amanita muscaria).
