Geopark Digital A journey through the stories
From the Serra do Montemuro to the valley of the Paiva, we get to know the stories of the parish of Alvarenga. We discovered the Carreira dos Moinhos and the Rego do Boi, which passes right by. We visited the Trancoso Pillory and got to know Egas Moniz, the uncle. We saw the Aguieiras waterfall crashing down to Paiva and the Eira das Bruxas made us travel to another dimension. We heard stories about the Minas da Chieira, at the time of wolfram, and the Calhau dos Mouros surprised us with its specificity.
“A journey through stories” is the result of the “Illustrate your school” competition run by AGA – Associação Geoparque Arouca, in partnership with the Municipality of Arouca, the Arouca School Group and the Alvarenga School Library, at the Alvarenga Primary School.
