Throughout the parish of Mansores, the “Levadas Trail” leads you past the Chapel of Senhora do Rosário, from where you can see part of the route and the mountain ranges which, in the distance, keep a watchful eye on the hiker. Some of the paths have not been used for around 40 years. A beauty designed by water lines and intense, native vegetation, which is reserved especially for you. The 10 picturesque water mills, the “Moinhos da Barrosa”, and another cluster of three mills, near the place of Mata, are essential points on the route.
