História Panoramic view of Senhora da Abelheira
In the parish of Escariz, the landscape we came across at the Senhora da Abelheira panorama makes us “travel” to the coast. At the top of this hill, the Marian Sanctuary is closely watched over by the Chapel of Senhora da Abelheira. This chapel, dating from the 1930s, has Our Lady of the Conception as its patron saint. Legend has it that she appeared in a nearby place, currently identified by a stone cross, on top of a rock.
