História Romano da Malafaia couple
Located in the parish of Várzea, this is one of the most important archaeological sites in the Arouca Geopark. Here we can learn more about the living and working dynamics of a small farm from the Roman period. Built in the 2nd half of the 1st century and with around 500 years of occupation, this archaeological site is fundamental to understanding Roman life in this territory. With this in mind, a structure has been set up at Malafaia to welcome visitors and help them better understand the area. This monument is part of the Vale do Arda and Zona Poente do Iter Hominis trail.
